Velocity Distribution Under Critical Conditions of Dense Phase Pneumatic Conveying in a Bend Pipe

Dense phase pneumatic conveying is significant for high efficiency combustion technology of pulverized coal in a boiler.By a two-dimensional Dual PDA system,the velocity of gas-solid two-phase flow was measured respectively in a rectangular cross-section bend with 25 mm in hydraulic diameter and 600 mm in bend radius.Thus, the distribution of two-dimensional time-averaged velocity and route mean square of velocity in three typical cross-sections under the conditions of critical conveying were obtained.
