On Kinetic Mechanisms for Premixed LaminarSteady State MethaneAir Flames

A detailed kinetic scheme for modeling methaneair flames has been numerically postulated in this paper,and used in a onedimensional laminar steady flame propagation model.The laminar burning velocity via equivalence ratio and temperature and species concentration profiles via the spatial coordinate x are also presented.The model predictions are compared with experimental data,and agreement is generally very good as the equivalence ratio φ1.3,leading to the conclusion that the kinetic scheme postulated in this paper is a simple and efficient scheme.In the post processing,sensitivity analysis has been performed to determine which reactions have the greatest effect on the burning velocity.
