Investigation on the Fractal Model of Solid Fuel Combustion

A fractal model on solid fuel combustion is proposed in this paper.In this model,it is considered that an over all kinetic diffusional equation can be used to describe solid fuel (coal for example) combustion.In this combustion process,a fractal power correlation between the pore vo lume and pore surface exists.Besides,the increase of reaction area is the addition of two fractal growth styles.In combination with the consideration of the pore amalgamate,a fractal model of coal combustion is concluded.The reaction rate described by this model,which increases at the beginning and decrease at last,conforms to the theoretical explanation as well as fits with the experiment results well.
