A Review of Studies on Soil Enzymology

One of the most important functions of soil enzymes is to serve as main mediators in soil biochemical process such as organic matter degradation, miner alization and nutrient cycling. In this review, advances in the studies on soil enzymes are summarized under headings of history of the studies, measuring techn iques of soilenzymes, sources of soil enzymes, soil regime in relation to soil enzyme activit ies, and the influence of soilmanagement on the enzymes.
