An Online Satisfaction Survey of Graduates from Engineering Institutes——Based on the Data Analysis of UM-SJTU Joint Institute

This paper is about an online satisfaction survey of 201 graduates,who are engineering-majored students graduated from UM-SJTU Joint Institute in 2014.The questionnaires are revised in terms of the 11 standards for engineering graduates set by Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology(ABET).The online survey is mainly composed of the graduates' scoring on their self-expression on knowledge application and divergent thinking ability.The survey also evaluated the institute's effect acting on the improvement of the participants' abilities.Meantime,the survey involved in personnel cultivation and teaching administration.The research findings showed that Joint Institute cultivated students in an all-around and multidimensional manners on the improvement of "excellent professionals", "distinguished engineering abilities", "broad humanistic basis",and especially on "ethics and responsibility".The satisfaction levels of the teaching and course setting from ME and ECE graduates are.both high.However,there still exist some spaces for improving the ability in multi-discipline knowledge application.
