Study on Tests of Compressive Strength of Concrete Mixed with Steel Slag in Sand Shape

LIU Pan;Xinjiang Water Resources and Hydropower Investigation Design and Research Institute;  
The steel slag in sand shape replaces the fine aggregate in equivalent quantity to mix the steel slag concrete. Aiming at the strength of the slag concrete,tests are performed based on the impact factors such as water-cementitious ratio,quantity of steel slag mixed,etc. The tests present that the optimum quantity of steel slag mixed in concrete is 30%. Furthermore,the strength( above 28 d)of the concrete with corresponding optimum quantity of the steel slag mixed,while the water-cementitious ratio is fixed,is close to or higher than that of the ordinary concrete.
