Influence of Two Planetary Boundary Layer Parameterization Schemes on Summer Rain in 2013 on Tibet Plateau by WRF Model

In this paper,we simulate the precipitation for the summer of 2013 over the Tibet Plateau( TP) with two numbers of planetary boundary layer( PBL) schemes( YSU and MYJ) by using the Weather Research and Forecasting( WRF) model. The experiment indicated precipitation over Southern Qinghai- Xizang Plateau is much larger than Northern,but underestimate the precipitation on Tibet Plateau and overestimate precipitation in south of Qinghai. There are divergent circulation bias in Southern Plateau and convergence circulation bias in the southern of Qinghai. In comparison of two PBL schemes,YSU is closer to the observation. And in spatial distribution,YSU performs better in middle and south of TP. Main reasons of the difference of the two schemes: Relative to YSU,MYJ overestimates the geopotential height in TP and south of TP,which lead to the West Pacific subtropical high is more West and less moisture travel from the bay of Bengal and South China Sea to TP.
