Determination of Yekuling in Surface Water with High Performance Liquid Chromatography

A method for quantitative determination of Yekuling in surface water(river and pond water)with revesed phase HPLC was reported.With Shimpack CLC ODS column,menthanol;water=50:50 was used as liquid phase and acidified with glacial acid to pH 4-5.The wave length of UV detector is 281nm .The recovery rates of the two water samples are 91.7-96.3%and 90-95.8% respec- tively. The relative standard deviation(RSD)is 4.3%.The lowest detectable limit is 0.0261 mg/l,This method is simple ,sensitive and accurate and may be used as regular enviromental monitoring.
