Research on the Application of the Low-power Sleeping Algorithm for Agricultural Wireless Sensor Network

Wireless sensor network technology is widely applied in agriculture, sensor node energy is limited, but the energy consumption of agricultural environment on wireless sensor network is high. How to maximize the use of limited energy,prolong the network nodes in the life cycle of a wireless sensor network become the key problem of agricultural wireless sensor network. This paper, from side of the optimization of wireless sensor network topology structure and optimizing node synchronous/dormancy mechanism, studied how to make no impact on the network communication and the respect of the quality of the network synchronization and dormancy. A network topology structure and node time synchronization,dormancy way was put forward, and tested on JENIC5139 platform. The results showed that the network topology structure and dormancy way, greatly extend the wireless sensor network life cycle.
