STUDIES ON THE FORMATION OF FATTY LIVER IN BLUNT—SNOUT BREAM AND ITS PREVENTION AND CURE

Ten food formulas with different nutritional levels were designed, taking blunt—snout bream fingerlings as the researched objects, so as to induced the fatty liver in blunt—snout bream and meanwhile study the methods of prevention and cure. It is found that lipid is seriously infiltrated into the liver cells in blunt—snout bream with low protein and high carbohydrate levels, and lack in choline, by the determination of the biochemical targets and the histological observation of liver. Fatty liver could be prevented by adding 1000mg choline in 1000g diet. The lipid infiltration of liver was also discovered in the high fat level group without the addition of choline. The lack in inorganic phosphorus induced the histological abnormal of liver. The phenomena of fatty liber was serious in the group under the condition of high animal protein and low carbohydrate of diet withoyt the addition of choline, whereas the phenomena of fatty liver was not discovered on the group of high plant protein and low carbohydrate without the addition of choline. Besides, the formation of fatty liver in blunt snout bream and its prevention and cure are discussed in this paper.
