Numerical study of Baise RCC Gravity Dam Foundation 

HE Jiang-da; FAN Jing-wei; ZHANG Jian-hai(Collage of Hydro-eletricity ,Sichuan Univ., Chengdu 610065, China)  
In consideration of the geological characterisitis and the existence of fractured rockmass, this paper systematically studied the most dangerous dam foundation part of right bankusing 3D nonlinear finite element model. The deformation and over-lOad features are alsostudied. The overload safety factor. the strength reservation safety factor, and the generalsafety factor are calculated. Based on the failure mechanism demonstrated by the model, somemeasures to improve.the stability factor are Proposed.
