Voltage Stability Analysis of Radial Distribution Networks

The paper presents voltage stability analysis of radial distribution networks. A voltage stability index based on the feasible solution of load flow is proposed.It is easy to compute the index value at every node and identify the node which is most sensitive to voltage collapse. Composite load modelling is taken account into voltage stability analysis. It is also shown that the load flow solutions of radial distribution networks are unique. Finally, the effectiveness of this method is proved by a practical example.
