At present, combination of several catalysts and oxidants in Advanced Oxidation Techniques (AOTs) is a potential research interest. We combined Fe(Ⅲ)-oxalate complex with H 2O 2 to develop a new photocatalytic oxidation system and investigated decoloration and COD removal of seven simulative dye wastewater with initial dye concentration 100mg/L. The dye wastewater could be decolorized by 90% in 24 minutes, with COD removal efficiencies ranging from 33% tp 70%. We examined the effects of pH, dye concentration, Fe(Ⅲ)/oxalate ratio and H 2O 2 concentration on decoloration of the dye C.I.reactive red 2, we also examined the effect of decoloration of the dye C.I.reactive red 2 by this combination system under solar light. The reaction mechanism of the system needs to be further investigated.
