This paper analyzes media's absorbing capability for domestic wastewater pollutant(COD、NH3-N、TP)and its absorbing type by doing experiments with fly ash,hollow brick crumbs,coal cinder and active carbon etc.four media.The results showed that for NH3-N and TP,the absorbing capacity of hollow brick crumbs was obviously better than these of the other three.Their absorbing capacity was all enhanced as the absorbing dosage increased.For COD,the absorbing capacity of active carbon was a little better than others.Absorbing dosage affected each media to a certain extent,and all the adsorption of the four medias towards COD?NH3-N and TP follows the Freundich rule.
