REMOVAL OF HEAVY METAL FROM WASTEWATER BY TEA WASTE: A REVIEW

In this paper,the structure and properties of tea leaves were introduced simply,hereafter the removal of heavy metal by tea waste was reviewed,including behavior and mechanism of adsorption.The effects of solution pH,contact time,initial concentration of target metal ion,system temperature on uptake of heavy metal ions by tea waste were also summarized.Finally,the practical application of tea waste in wastewater treatment with heavy metal ions was evaluated.
