Eeffect of depressive mood on sensitity of insulin in diabetic patients

Objective To explore the sensitivity of insulin in diabetic patients with or without depression.Methods Blood glucose,HBA 1C ,insulin,cpeptide,corticosteroid,and blood viscosity were detected in 58 diabetic patients with depression and 62 diabetic patients without depression.Results There were no significant differences in the level of blood glucose,insulin,body weight index(BMI)between diabetic patients with depression and without depression.But Kitt value,blood viscosity,corticosteroid,Dimax significantly increased in the diabetic patients with depression.Conclusion Insulin-resistance elevated in diabetic patients with depression.Antidepressive therapy may contribute to controlling blood glucose.
