Finite Element Analysis for an Engine Mounting Bracket

Mounting bracket is one of the most important powertrain components. The mounting bracket strength and fretting of contact surface were discussed based on finite element analysis in this paper, and then the results confirm the accuracy of finite element analysis, compared with the road test. The studies show that finite element analysis can offer some reliable basis for optimization design direction later for mounting bracket.
