Factors Affecting Commercial Bank Spreads Under Interest Rate Liberalization

With the deposit interest rate upper limit released by central bank on October 2015,the interest rate liberalization reform of China is basically completed,the market competition intensifies,and the determinants of commercial bank's net interest margin also change. Based on this background,using the bank firm model empirically to test the factors affecting net interest margin according to China's 28 commercial banks' panel data from 2010 to 2014. The results show that the main factors affecting commercial bank's net interest margin are the operation cost and the market concentration degree; credit risk and liquidity risk also have a significant influence; different types of commercial banks have different affecting factors.
