Generation of Numerical Grid System by Linear Elliptical Equations

Numerical grids generated by solvi ng elliptical equations are boundary-fitted. Traditional techniques solve a set o f nonlinear elliptical equations to generate this kind of grid. This paper prese nts a theoretical research to overcome the difficulty and improve the accuracy i n solving nonlinear equations. A new technique is proposed in this paper, which creates the fitted grid by solving linear elliptical equations directly instead of nonlinear equations. Thus the method is simpler and easier in use. The new te chnique is practically applicable and theoretically important in the area of com putational fluid mechanics.
