The flow model coupling reservoir percolation and variable mass pipe flow in production section of the stepped horizontal well

With the rapid development of exploration and exploitation technologies, as a special type of horizontal wells, the stepped type horizontal well is being applied extensively in the home and foreign oilfields. Based on the potential superposition theory and method of mirror, the potential spatial distribution of the stepped type horizontal well production section in the thin interbed reservoir are deduced. The analysis models of pressure drop along the production section of stepped horizontal well in the thin interbed reservoir are also established through the theory of infinitesimal line congruence and the law of conservation of momentum. At the end, the mathematic model of flow in the production section coupling reservoir percolation and variable mass pipe flow of stepped horizontal well with the openhole completion method.
