Hull form study and wave-making model test for a trimaran ship

HE Shu-long, LI Bai-qi,CHENG Ming-dao, ZHU De-xiang(China Ship Scientific Research Center,Wuxi 214082,China)  
Based on the hull lines designed by the authors,the hull form of a trimaran ship is investigated.Model tests are performed on wave-making interaction of the trimaran hulls.According to the test results,the influence of position of side slices on wave-making interaction and the difference of resistance between trimaran and mono-hull ship are analyzed.Prediction method for full-scale multi-hull ship is discussed.
