Comparison of existing methods for wave generating and absorbing in VOF-based numerical tank

Based on the Navier-Stokes equations for viscous,incompressible fluid and VOF method,a two dimensional Numerical Wave Tank(NWT) is established,utilizing the commercial CFD software FLUENT and its function of the secondary development.Weakly nonlinear waves are accurately simulated.A wave-absorbing method employing porous media model isproposed,which can dissipate the wave energy effectively.Moreover,existing methods of wave generating and absorbing are compared and analyzed in detail;the optimal selection of the presented numerical methods is provided accordingly.
