In order to obtain higher forage sweet potato yield and more high quality vines for animals, field experiment on sweet potato vine cutting interval and cutting ratio was carried out. The results show that the yield of cutting once in every 21 days is lowest at earlier stage and highest at later stage, which shows both vine and tube grew coordinately. Cutting 1/4 in every 14-21 days give higher yield, in which cutting 1/4 in every 3 weeks increases 13.03% and 16 31% of total dry matter and total gross protein compared to traditional method with harvesting once at the season end. Therefore, in practice it is recommended to cutting sweet potato vine at the ratio of 1/4 in every 14-21 days for higher forage yield.
