Optimal Scheduling for Cascaded Reservoirs with Different Power Pricing Policies

The coexistance of several generation pricing policies has lasted for decades since the reform of the electric power in China.Due to special nature of the power merchandise,power policies,especially generation pricing policy,play great important on the optimal scheduling of the power systems.To get quantitative analysis and comparison for optimal scheduling with cascaded reservoirs among different generation pricing policies,an optimal scheduling model with the object of maximizing the power profit is built.In the proposed model,different power pricing policies is considered.The optimization problem is solved by particle swarm optimization with linearly decreasing inertia weight.In order to get a detail comparision with different generation pricing policies,a real cascaded power system along a certain river in southwest of China is test,and the detailed analysis for the optimal results under different generation pricing policies is put on also.
