Determination of Polyphenols in Flowers of Robinia pseudoacacia L. by Folin-Ciocaileu Method

Objective To determine the content of polyphenols in flowers of Robinia pseudoacacia L.Methods With gallic acid as the standard,the content of polyphenols in flowers of Robinia pseudoacacia L.was determined by Folin-Ciocaileu Method.Results The regression equation of standard curve was y=0.005 7x-0.0035(R2=0.999 6).The stability,precision,reproducibility and recovery rate were determined with relative standard deviation(RSD) of 0.20 %~4.67 %.The content of polyphenols in flowers of Robinia pseudoacacia L.was 1.083%(RSD=3.21%).Conclusion Folin-Ciocaileu Method can be convenient,rapid,accurate and reliable for the determination of polyphenols in flowers of Robinia pseudoacacia L.
