Distribution of Humus in Purple Paddy Soils Derived from Different Parent Materials

The paper studied the distribution of humus carbon in soils sections and the characteristics of humus carbon fraction of purple paddy in Mid-Sichuan Hilly Region.The relationship between soil humus carbon,soil labile organic carbon,and soil total nitrogen(TN)were discussed in this paper.Results indicated that Surficial humus carbon content and HA/FA were different in different parent paterials and soil moisture conditions,Submergic paddy soil in the upside of rushing gully is mainly effected by parent materials,Gleyed paddy soil in the junction of rushing gully is mainly effected by soil moisture condition.In General,soil humus carbon content and HA/FA decreased with the depth of soil increased in soil profile.On the effect of soil moisture,for humus carbon content and HA/FA,there was a tendency among different Purple Paddy Soils:submergic paddy soil Percogenic paddy soil Gleyed paddy soil.The content of humus carbon,HA and HA/FA were significantly positive related to soil labile organic carbon(p0.01),and FA were significantly positive related to soil labile organic carbon(p0.05).The content of soils humus carbon,HA and HA/FA were significantly positive related to soil total nitrogen(TN)(p0.01),and FA was significantly positive related to soil total nitrogen(TN)(p0.05).
