The Simulation of the Variation of the Soil Moisture in the Jiangjia Ravine,Yunnang

Soil moisture is one of the key hydro factors which caused the debris flow.To know the variation of the soil moisture is very important to the research of the initiation and the prediction of the debris flow.In this paper,a simulation model,based on the physical process of hydro cycle and the distributed hydrology model:TOPMODEL,is built to simulate the soil moisture variation in Jiangjia ravine of Yunnang in 2001.The simulation result is validated with the field surveying data which is got from 20 June to 7 July,it shows that the simulation result is little higher than the field data but has the same variation trend with it.So,it can be said that the simulation model built in this paper can be used to simulate the variation of the soil moisture in Jiangjia Ravine.
