Regression study on optimal filling density of down jacket

The thermal insulation property of down jacket is determined by the filling density of down material.But the insulation performance of down jacket is not always enhanced with the increase of down filling.When the down filling density reaches a critical value, the insulation performance of the jacket declines with the increase of down filling density.The down filling density corresponding to the turning point of jacket insulation performance was defined as the optimal value.The effect of down filling density on the heat transferring coefficient of the jacket was quantified and the significance of such effect was evaluated using one-way ANOVA.The best fit curves of heat transferring coefficient,clo value,heat dissipating capacity and insulation rate were presented in terms of down filling density.Based on the best fit curves,the optimal down filling density is 9.47g per 900 square centimeters for the best thermal insulation performance of a down sandwich pad.
