Research on Mechanical Effects of Soft Rock Tunnel Construction

Tunnel construction process will lead to a great deformation due to soft rock rheology. In order to study the mechanical effects of geological conditions under the soft rock tunnel excavation,on the basis of the indoor creep tests on the proposed computational model of soft rock,the model is calculated by the determined constitutive model,the stress and strain contours of the soft rock tunnel are got considering the time effect in the excavation process and not considering the time effect in both cases. The analysis results were compared between field monitoring data and numerical simulation of the tunnel excavation process. It proves that the numerical simulation values which consider the time effect are closer to the measured values,and the correctness of the model was verified.
