Experimental Study on Hot Fine Rolling and Heat Treatment Processing of the AZ31 Magnesium Alloy

The microstructure of AZ31 magnesium alloy sheet produced by one-direction rolling at the condition of different rolling temperature and different reduction in pass is studied.The result shows that in multi-pass rolling,the uniform grains can be generated by the 25% pass reduction.The temperature of 300℃ and 400℃ has no affection to the microstructure of the sheets;The microstructure of the AZ31 magnesium alloy sheet with annealing heat treatment under various conditions is investigated.The results show that when the heat treatment temperature is increased from 150℃ and 400℃,the grains grow and twin disappear.The grains of 5um can be reached between the temperature of 250℃ and 300℃.Grain size has little impact as the keeping time is prolonged.It shows that the transition of recrystallization begins during the former period of heating procedure.
