Preliminary Study on Indoor Inhalable Particulates Pollution in Office

Based on determination of inhalable particulates in indoor air of a common office, the particulates size distribution have been analyzed, and the contribution of cigarette smoke on particulates was detected. It was found that fine particles were dominated in indoor air, among which more than 95% was smaller than 7.0 μm, and about 50-70% was smaller than 11μm, The effects of cigarette smoke and polluted outdoor ambient air, as two important sources of indoor inhalable particulars on size distribution have also been discussed.
