A Study on the Application of Absorbance Ratio-Derivative Spectrometry

Absorbance ratio-derivative spectrometry uses the ratio of a mixed spectrum to the spectrum of one constituent in the binary mixture to get its derivative to wavelength,so that the spectrum overlapping can be differentiated.This method has both the points of derivative spectrometry to eliminate the interference of low- frequency backdrop as well as of multi-wavelength linear regression analysis(MLRA)to have high spectral resolution.The determination of a binary mixture of phenol and resorcin was studied hereby,and it has shown good precision and accuracy without needs for the separation of interfering constituents in advance.This method was simple,convenient as well as quick,and was therefore of advantage to spreading its use.
