A Discussion on the Application of a Combined Process for Treating Flue Gas Scrubbing Wastewater in Refuse Incinerating Plant

The composition of flue gas scrubbing wastewater generated in refuse incinerating plants is very complicated.It is therefore necessary to deal with the wastewater to meet relevant standards prior to being discharged.Flue gas scrubbing wastewater in a refuse incinerating plant was treated by the process of "stripping +reaction and precipitation + catalytic oxidation + sand filtering + activated carbon adsorption".The results showed that various pollutants could be effectively removed through the processing to reach and even be superior to the requirements for Class II of Shanghai local integrated wastewater discharge standard(DB 31/199-2009).The practice showed that the system could run smoothly with lower cost,reliable effect and high degree of automation.It was indicated that the system also has further optimised space to improve the energy efficiency and reduce the chemical consumption whilst ensuring its effluent in compliance with the standard stably.
