The Numerical Simulation for the Wind Fields and Wind Loads Around Spatial Structures

The numerical simulation approach,which is based on computational fluid dynamics(CFD),was be introduced to study the wind fields of complicated structural shapes and wind-loads acting on the targeted structural system.The wind fields around the spatial structures and the wind-load form coefficients were given numerically and visually.And some comparisons between the numerical results and wind tunnel model test data were carried out.The changes of the wind-load form coefficients and wind fields around the structures caused by other structural system were analyzed.Based on the wind pressure contours or constant value lines of wind-load form coefficients,the sub-domains subjected to different wind loads were decided and the local wind-load form coefficients corresponding to these sub-domains were gotten according to the area weighted average.Besides,the wind-load form coefficients under different wind angles were investigated.
