Computational Model for Bearing Capacity of Corroded Reinforced Concrete Columns

According to a bond degenerative model between concrete and steel,the influence of corroded steel on the calculated model and failure mode of the reinforced concrete columns was studied and a computational model was established to evaluate the bearing capacity of corroded reinforced concrete columns.The variation of the steel cross section and the mechanical properties,the reduction of member effective cross section were considered.Some recent experimental data were also used to verify the present model.The model is satisfactory which can offer reliable theoretical prediction for analyzing the bearing capacity of corroded reinforced concrete columns.
