Clinical observation of implant-natural tooth supported fixed partial denture for replacement of missing teeth in 86 patients

PURPOSE:To evaluate the result of implant-natural tooth supported fixed partial dentures.METHODS:Eighty-six patients with moderate or severe alveolar absorption,and/or higher mandibular cannel or lower maxillary sinus underwent dental implant surgery.3-6 months after operation,the dentition defects were restored with implant-tooth supported fixed partial dentures.RESULTS:The restorations were evaluated 2 to 3 years after restoration,the success rate was 93.4%.CONCLUSION:If there is some anatomical limitation for dental implants,implant and natural tooth supported fixed partial dentures will be an optimal choice.
