FECTS OF PEG, MINERAL ELEMENTS AND LOW TEMPERATURE ON GROWTH OF ASEPTIC SEEDLINGS AND CALLUSING RATE OF LEAF SEGMENT CULTURES OF BARLEY

The paper describes the studies on the effects of seed pretreatment with PEG,inorganic salts during seedling culture and seedling pretreatment at low temperate on seedling growth and callus induction of barley leaf segments. The results are as follows:seed pretreatment with 30% PEG, no supply of micronutrient during seedling culture and seedling pretreatment at low temperature can improve callus induction of leaf segments and condition of seedling growth. It is certain that we can regulate the physiological aspects of barley seedlings to improve the response of callusing by proper pretreatment.
