The experiment on cutting propagation of Sauropus androgynus is made appropriately in spring in Shanghai area. The experimental results showed that hormone treatments could increase the rooting rate of cuttings. The mixed solution of 300 mg/L IBA and 300 mg/L NAA had the best effect on the cutting roots By the treatment with this solution, the rooting rate (71.1%) of cuttings increased by 102.2% over CK (35.2%), and the cuttings grew many strong roots and leaves. Every rooted cutting of S. androgynus could survive and then flower and fruit, fulfilling growth duration in the same year as the cutting was planted.
