Selection and breeding of a new heat tolerant pak-choi variety 'Minqing 101'

LI Shi-zhong,ZHANG Cai-feng,LU Yi,HU Xin,WANG Li-hua (Agricultural Research Institute of Minhang District,Shanghai 201109,China)  
'Minqing 101 ',a new pak-choi variety,was bred by hybridizing the male sterility line 03- 11A with the inbred line 07-3-4-1 which were selected by sexual hybridization and systematic breeding of superior domestic germplasm resources.The experimental results showed that this variety was tolerant to heat and resistant to disease and was suitable for planting in both summer and autumn(especially in summer).It could be harvested at 15~40 days after seeding and its average yield could be up to 22.5 t/hm~2 at 30 days after seeding.
