LIU Yun Long1,2, LU Sheng Gao2,HAN Xiao fei3 (1. College of Environmental Sciences, Tongji University, Shanghai 200092; 2. College of Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou 310029; 3.Bureau of Environmental of Minhang Distract , Shanghai 201101,China)
Studies on soil water holding capacity and soil water supplying capacity of two soils were carried out in ZheJiang province, China, which ,with different degrees of weathering and eluviation, originated from the same soil parent materials(wacke), and were called Hongniantu and Zongnitu in Chinese respectively. It showed that the general characters of soil water holding and soil water supplying are mainly governed by degrees of soil weathering and eluvation, which affects soil texture profoundly, and these differences caused by degrees of soil weathering and eluvation were much more than those differences from soil utilization styles and agriculture management system.
