Wang Ti ming. Xianju county Baita health center of Zhejiang province,317317 , China
Objective To investigate the effect of electroacupuncture with intermittent waves in the treatment of peripheral facial paralysis. Methods Eighty patients were randomly divided into an intermittent wave group (treatment group) and a successive wave group (control group). The acupoints and the course of treatment were the same in the two groups. The effects in the two groups were observed. Results and conclusion The cure rate was 86% in the treatment group and 57% in the control group. There was a significant difference between the two groups ( P 0.05 ). There was also a significant difference in the number of treatments in the cured patients between the two groups ( P 0.05 ). It is showed that electroacupuncture with intermittent waves has a quick effect on peripheral facial paralysis, with a short course of treatment and a high cure rate.
