Objective To investigate the neuroendocrine mechanism of the fighting action of acupuncture and moxibustion on stress injury. Methods Recent 10 years' achievements were reviewed in studies of the mechanism of the reducing action of acupuncture and moxibustion on stress injury, and summarize and analyze the regulative effect of acupuncture and moxibustion on neuro-endocrino-immune network in stress state.Conclusion Acupuncture and moxibustion has a good regulating effect neuro-endocrino-immune network in stress state, which is one of the important mechanisms by which acupuncture and moxibustion prevents and treats stress diseases and provides reliable evidence for acupuncture-moxibustion treatment of stress-related diseases.
