Effect of Polyethyleneglycol Treatment on Bourgeon and Mature Shoot of Cyamopsis tetragonoloba (L) taubert Seeds at Lower Temperature

In this paper, we used PEG-10000 to presoak the seeds of Cyamopsis tetragonoloba (L) for 1,2,3 days at 10℃ , 15℃ respectively. Results indicated that: PEG was able to promote the germination of the seeds that they were immediately sowed,but to restrain the growth of the seedling when the seeds were treated at IS't .PEG sped the growth of the seedling when the seeds were presoaked in 0 - 4℃ distilled water for 17 hours after being treated with PEG,but restrained the germination of the seeds when the seeds were treated at 15t while promoted at 101. In microtherm season, the vigor of the seeds of Cyamopsis tetragonoloba (L) could be improved obviously if they were treated for several hours at about 0℃ after presoaked.The cold injury during imbibition's period could be lightened or even avoided if the seeds of Cyamopsis tetragonoloba (L) had been presoaked for more than 4 hours at more than 10℃ before sowing.
