The effects of water retention materials on seed germination,soil physical and chemical properties of jujube field

In this study, wild jujube was selected as the research object to study the effect of polyacrylamide conditioner, humic acid conditioner, humic acid-polyacrylamide composite and humic acid-polyacrylic acid potassium composite material on the germination rate of jujube seeds and Jujube farmland soil physical and chemical properties of 0-60 cm soil layers using combination of pot and field experiment. The results were as the following:(1) Application of water-retaining material can significantly increase the jujube seed germination rate and relative germination index. Of them, under the humic acid-polyacrylamide composite treatment, the germination rate of jujube seeds increased by more than 55% than that of CK.(2)The application of water-retaining materials could increase the content of soil available nitrogen, available phosphorus and available potassium in 0-60 cm soil layer. The humic acid-polyacrylamide composite material had the best effect; compared with CK, the humic acid-polyacrylamide composites increased soil available nitrogen up to 55.86%; available phosphorus increased31.11% and available potassium increased 26.49% on average in 0-60 cm layer.(3) The application of water-retaining material can reduce the soil p H and promote growth of plant stem and root. This study found that the application of humic acid-polyacrylamide composite to improve jujube farmland soil physical and chemical properties was the best.
