Changes of SP and Beta-endorphin in Active and Quiescent Period of Psoriasis Patients Intervened by Blood-Cooling and Blood-Activating Herbs

Objective To investigate the mechanism of using traditional Chinese hemo-modulating therapy to intervene the SP and beta-endorphin of psoriasis patients.Methods 40 ordinary psoriasis patients were treated by herbs and the expressions of SP and beta-endorphin were detected before and after treatment.Result Before treatment, the expression of SP showed differences in the active period and the quiescent period. After treatment,the expression of SP was decreased (P 0.01) and ES Formula (P 0.05),as well as the expression of beta-endorphin was decreased (P 0.01,P 0.05).Conclusion The traditional Chinese hemo-modulating treatment could effectively modulate the expression of SP and beta-endorphin of ordinary psoriasis in different periods.
