FOUR SPECIES OF FLY DIFFERENTIATION BY RAPD-PCR

This paper is an application of RAPD-PCR (random amplified poiymorphic DNA polymerase chain reaction) technique in fly taxonomy. Four species of fly from three family were used in screening the 34 random primers of to base in order to identify the fly groups from each other. The results showed that only one primer(OPH-8) could classify the four species and could be used as family key primer. As well as another 14 primers could grouped the family Muscidae. The authors concluded that RAPD method can be used in the entomological construction of diagnostic profiles for species or groups identification and differentitation among conspecific populations.
