A random analytical approach for structures with random multi-point earthquake exciation

The random earthquake multi-input is modeled as stationary random process vector. A two-step decomposition approach is proposed to transfer the correlative vector process into an independent one. The structural random response is obtained by mode-decomposition method. Furthermore, the power spectral densities of responses can be calculated directly. The proposed approach is an effective one, as it can deal with not only the multi-excitation problem and wave-propagation effect, but also the correlative one between structural modes easily.
