Review and prospects of the research on multi-component earthquake excitations for structures(Ⅱ)─analysis method and prospects

The state-of-the-art research on multi -component earthquake excitations for structures is summarized in this paper. In paper I, the aspects for multi-component seismic inputs are discussed, which are mainly related to the research on rotational component of ground motion, random model and correlation for multiple seismic ground motions. In paper Ⅱ, the analysis methods for struc- turest to multi-component seismic excitations are reviewed, which consist of the seismic response spec- trum method, the time-history analysis method, and the random vibration method. Finally, the problems and prospects of the research are discussed, and the aspects for further research are recommended.
