Nonliner analysis mordel for special-shaped RC beam-column members

ZHANG Shou-jun LI Qing-ning(School of Civil Eng.,Xi'an Univ.of Arch.& Tech.,Xi'an 710055,China)  
Special shaped RC members has been widely used in housing buildings,but there is no effective three-dimensional nonlinear analysis model in dealing with members with small ratios of slenderness.Flexibility-based finite element model proposed by former scholars has ignored the shear deformation of the beam-column member.It is unsuitable for the special shaped RC members or shear walls,which ratios of slenderness are small.Flexibility-based nonlinear finite element model with considering shear deformation is set up in this paper,which extends the application of flexibility-based finite element method to beam-column members with small ratios of slenderness.The analyzed result of an example on L-shaped column shows that is well conform with the test result,oblique bending and elongation of the member may happen for the special-shaped RC beam-column members under lateral force.
