An Investigation on Teachers’ Professional Beliefs in Rural Areas——a case study on western rural areas of Guangdong Province

Teachers’ professional beliefs are the basic contents and important components of teachers’ professional development.It is significant to know teachers’ professional beliefs for advancing teachers’ professional development and teachers’ education innovation.It is shown from the investigation on professional beliefs among rural teachers in the west of Guangdong province that the results are not ideal.It is necessary to strengthen social support,stimulate internal motivation,give more direction,and start more reflective thinking,to improve teachers’ professional beliefs.
